due to circumstances beyond our control. The next comp is scheduled for 27th May 2012. any change we will announce it well in advance.
New Casting Venue
We will now be casting at a field in Wentlooge Newport. The field can be cast in any direction as the shortest distance accross it is roughly 280m-300m. The field is situated next to Walnut Tree Farm that has a petting zoo and some small attractions for young children so you can now bring the wife and kids if you want to.There are also carp and trout ponds on the site so if you fancy a bit of carp or trout fishing in the summer evenings after casting feel free as evening tickets are available.Best of all there is a lodge 3mins drive from the field that opens at 7:00 and breakfasts will be ready to serve from 7:30 onwards.I have also been informed that in the event of the club holding a major competition the owner will open up a field onsite for traveling casters to either bring along a caravan or tent for the duration of the competition. The post code for the lodge and fishing lakes is NP10 8SQ. The field is approximatly 3 mins drive away in Outfall Lane please use 2nd gate up to gain access to the field.Hope to see a few of there soon as soon as we can arrange our first comp I will let you know.
Last but not least big thanks go to Barrie Davies for soting out this venue for us to move to. We have also been told that this venue is for however long we want to use it.
