Results for February 24th 2008
A changeable day was forecast and that’s certainly what we had, sunshine and showers and wind went from south-westerly 6mph to westerly 8 for a few rounds then strait across court northerly 15 mph after dinner
Today saw us again hosting the second round WFSA Welsh team qualifiers , this ran concurrently for the first 8 rounds with our usual casting day. Lots of local faces and some not so local it was great to see Mike Benfield and the lads travelling from the Westward casting club located in Cornwall .
Christian Brayely took top spot this month with one of the best casts seen at Wales of 253 meters using the 150g lead remarkable considering the wind was only 6 – 7 mph .Second spot went to another Welsh team member Adam Neil with a fantastic effort on the 125g of just over 240 meter closely followed by Nigel Hutchinson with a cracking hit of 236 meters on the 150g just think what he’d get if he cast for a whole day.
Big well done to John Gravell and Brian King on getting personal bests
