SURFSCAST WALES

Our first club comp of 2008 it was very pleasant day with sunny intervals and 10 -12mph westerly veering for time to time but died off in the afternoon o 4 – 5mph
Today was a little different with the WFSA qualifiers running concurrently for the first 8 rounds with our usual casting day ,but it was business as usual as the casters lined up to take their turn casting the lead as far down the court as possible.
Top of the tree this month was Christian Brayley continuing his great form with a mammoth chuck of 246 m with the 125g lead. Next came Jason willicombe ,this his first competition for some time due to injury even so Jason landed a huge cast of 240m on the 150g . Third place was Phil Jones hitting a very respectable cast of 234.65 also on the 125g.
New club member Mike Bowden casting went for strength to strength today with some friendly instruction he achieved a new personal best of 185.42 on the 150g well done Mike top bombing
