Results for 26th July 2009

The day started cloudy with a 10 - 12mph southerly but soon turned to rain and a cross court 10 mph easterly. Still a cracking turn out and some exceptional casting with the top guns smashing leads out of the back of the court and others smashing their personal bests.
Welsh number 1 Christian Brayley took top spot with a real massive cast on the 175g lead of 255.75M just behind was the England's casting ace Andy Copping with a superb cast on the 150g lead of 254.92m and in third place was the inform Nigel "Casanova" Hutchinson showing good form with a very respectable 240M on the 150g.
Special mention must be given to Mike Dagnall who casting has come on leaps and bounds of late he again achieved 2 impressive personal bests this month along with S Ford, Ian Conne ,Mark Jones , Brian Sweet and last but by no means least junior S Copping following in hid dads footsteps with a fantastic cast of 75M on the 75g lead .Big well done to all roll on next month.
Owing to the popularity at the moment Surfcast Wales has realised a need for development days both to fetch casters in to the sport as well as helping them get to a level to compete in the end of month tournament days .We will be holding an improvers day at the club on the 16th August, where our casting coach Glyn along with others will be on hand all day well 10am to 5ish anyway
