Results for Sunday May 25th 2008

After a wet start at the home of welsh casting the rain slowly eased becoming drier in the afternoon the wind stayed mainly from the east 4 -8 mps which meant we were cast slightly up hill, Despite this it turned out to be a very competitive and enjoyable day with more records and Pb’s smashed .This being the fourth and final round of the welsh team qualifiers its always good to be casting at your best.

Phil Jones and Christian Brayley were let loose on the little leads again trying to pinch each others records
But instead just increased their own ,Christian upping his 50g welsh record to 179.80M and Phil upping his 75g welsh record to 218.38M very exciting watching these two in form smashing the light leads.

Christian claimed top honours with a massive 255.40meters on the 125g in difficult conditions. Adam Neil clamed second with cracking hit of 237.80M on the 175g and Nigeeboy Hutchinson came in third with very respectable cast of 234.25M on the 175g lead.

Cliff Wilkins continued improving on his current form hitting an amazing 3 personal best’s as well as newcomer Mike Bowden hitting a new PB with an impressive 193.10.
