Neil Kelland Cup Results
This was a fantastic day not just for the wonderful display of casting excellence on show
Also for the wonderful support shown for a cup dedicated to a true casting legend that is Neil kelland. The first four rounds of the day competitors could cast any lead apart from the 175g but It had to be cast on 0.35 line with many people choosing the 200g or the 150g Danny proved himself as the best in the world smashing the 200g lead as if it was an 18 Plug hitting a very impressive 245 metres, closest to the big man Was Lee Adams hitting 227.70 on the 150g On to the main event the 175g after a quick 90 degree court change the wind was behind Danny came out on top winning the event With a 260.10 metre cast not bad for uphill, this Putting Paul baker 2nd with a very respectable 242.47 and lee Adams third with 240.87. It was another very entertaining day held by surfcast Wales with some very big distances hitAnd to be expected the day was fun filled and full of banter even through the prize giving Special thanks to the sponsors of the event conoflex, sakuma and Keens tackle also to John power, Dennis Retter, Joe Dowling and Brian King for measuring the casts.
