Casting Results for Sunday 31st October 2010

As usual a great day was had by all. The wind was from the NE at about 7-8 mph and the heavy rain stayed away although we had occasional light drizzle. It was a day for new toys. We had some samples of Viz leader and main line in both the yellow and white. All who tried it rated it highly.
The white line stands out particularly well against the vegetation. Glyn had made a now court which is easier to cart around which was nice. We also had a new member Matthew Russell join us. By the end of the day he had cast a very respectable 196m for a personal best. Top honours on the day go to Nigel Hutchinson with a cast of 234.6m although he was neck and neck with Phill Jones at 234.37m. Brian Sillman had a PB of 204m on the 125gram. All in all it was a very enjoyable day with all the usual banter
