Casting Results for 26th September 2010

A change of field again for the Surfcast Wales boys today a bit lumpy but it kept us all fit Not the best of days conditions wise.
For safety reasons the court had to be set up with a slight crosswind making casting a bit tricky. Not to let a minor thing like that put us off We rallied fourth and some respectable distances were recorded. We even had one member trying the backcast for a few rounds due to a sore arm. The later the day went on the better the conditions got and towards the end the wind had swung back down the court again for the last 3 or 4 casts. Merion Pritchard took full advantage of this with a cracking hit of 229m on his last cast for a PB and a first tournament win well done Merion.
Congratulations to Junior Garwyn Shortman with another PB and a new junior club record on the 150g. The last 3 casts of the day Garwyn put down 3 casts over 200 yards and even beat his father on the last cast by meter Don't forget the AGM is at the Maerdy Hotel on the 13 of October directions for here can be found on the home page.
