Casting Results for Sunday 24th September 2011

This month was the 2nd round of qualifiers held in conjunction with our monthly club comp.Results for this and final placings can be found on the WFSA web site under surfcasting

First of all a big thanks to Brian King Steve Derravan and Garwyn Shortman for helping out with the measuring for the qualifying rounds. And to all who helped set up and pack away.
The winds that were forecast didn't materialise and those that did were blowing all over the placeWith the court set up for qualifying the wind Gods decided to play tricks on us, blowing down court on the oche and a crosswind at the end of the court. This showed in the results in the qualifying and on the monthly comp with distances well down for most compared to last month. But this is Wales and nothing suprises us any more with the weather.
Nice to see a visitor Stephan Herbert from over the bridge who made the long drive from down South Also good to see Chris Harrison making a comeback as a day caster and adding a PB to his casting after a few pointers. Winner on the day was Adam Morgan who showed great casting right across the eads and even chancing his luck on the 300g. Well done as well to Leighton Griffiths who increased his PB on the 150g to 165m.

Next month we will not be in our normal field but we do have another field to cast in and as soon as Ican confirm the location I will get directions up on the web site.See you all next month when hopefully the winds will be with us
